I have been to this shop several times since I moved here and am always pleased with the customer service and honesty of the machanics. They never pressure me to get more then I came in for. They do a great job and are easy to work with.

After getting a smaller dent in a parking lot accident, repairs were done to perfection, inside of the car detailed beautifully, and the car was done earlier than expected. I received a few updates through the process also. Great Service, Very Happy!!!

I'd been having suspension/handling issues for months and even after new suspension put on, the problem still persisted. I'd been to numerous mechanics in Ames for several months to troubleshoot the issue to no avail. I went to Don and Sons for some much needed assistance. Todd Martin took the time to test drive my vehicle and identify the issue I had been having. He and his team put my car up on the hoist and found mud caked up and into my tires, cleaned that all up, then took my car to Jeff at Trickle's for further analysis. The mechanic at Trickle's finally has a diagnosis for me...finally! When I spoke with Todd after I spoke with the mechanic at Trickle's, he told me I didn't owe them anything but a good plug on a Google review. Todd and Don and Son's went above and beyond to help me and get me headed in the right direction to solve a months long problem. And after they did all that, they wouldn't take any payment from me when I offered. Count on not only your much earned glowing Google review but that case of beer is coming for your shop guys! I can't thank Todd Martin and the team at Don and Sons for their courtesy, time, and efforts to sincerely help me. Class act all around and I'll let anyone know about what a great group they are. I was in an accident that was a bit complicated insurance wise (45% my fault, 55% the other party) and Don & Sons handled all the back end stuff with State Farm. I really appreciated it! The staff was friendly and even stayed past 5 so I could pick my car up when it was finished.

Was in a crash nearby and the customer service here was fantastic as I sorted everything out between me, the shop, and insurance.

Don & Sons did a thorough, professional job on my car, and got me back on the road quicker than I expected. It's a load off my mind to have them taking care of my car because I know there is nothing to worry about when it's in their hands.

Had my tail light smashed and bumper brackets destroyed. They fit me in on a full day, did a bit of work whenever they had the chance, and got it back to me in half the time than they anticipated. The cost was reasonable and the staff members were all friendly and helpful.

Hands down the best body shop in Ames! Kurt was super nice and professional! Will definitely recommend my friends to them!!

My repair of my 2016 Chrysler Town & Country back door & glass replacement looks great. Todd & Carrie were patient & kind as my insurance was slow approving repairs via e-mails back & forth not in person. I stopped @ shop daily or called in person almost daily for 2 weeks till work completed. Van was detailed beautifully when I picked it up. Not that nice since brand new in 2016. Would recommend Don & Sons for sure. Thank you Marsha
